چکیده
Taraxacum Officinale, commonly called dandelion, is herbaceous perennial belonging to the family of Asteraceae, having good antibacterial effects which are related its phenolic substances. In this study, effect contents as well antibiofilm activity against Staphylo- coccus aureus extract from T. Officinale were evaluated in vitro. With 70% metha- nol-water (v/v) a solvent, dandelion was extracted by ultrasonic assisted extraction method. Subsequent identification and quantification phenol carried out using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The minimum inhibitory concentration anti- bacterial kinetic curve analyzed spectrophotometry. Changes extracellular alkaline phosphatase (AKP) contents, electrical conductivity, intracellular protein DNA S. after action determined study on permeability cell wall membrane. results showed that chlorogenic acid (1.34 mg/g) present higher concentration, followed lute- olin (1.08 mg/g), ferulic (0.22 caffeic (0.21 rutin (0.19 extract. (MIC) 12.5 mg/mL. analysis mainly exponential growth phase. After applying extract, signifi- cantly inhibited entering into decay phase early. Furthermore, AKP aureus, conductivity all increased. also affected normal reproduction aureus. These suggest has an mechanism destroy integrity walls membranes.

Background: Biofilms are communities of microorganisms embedded in a self produced polymeric matrix composed of polysaccharide, protein and DNA, adhered to inert or living surfaces. Researchers have focused on understanding the complex nature of biofilm and their reduced susceptibility to antibiotics. The use of biomaterials and indwelling medical devices like catheters increase probability of ...

Total phenolic content and antioxidative properties of Taraxacum officinale leaves and flowers extract was studied. Extracts was made with different solvents: classical organic and surfactant solutions. The results showed that all examined extracts contain some polyphenols and have antioxidant potential against DPPH radical and reducing power (Fe3+ Fe2+). Leaf extracts made with organic solvent...
